for Lisa Gronseth's Intermediate Painting class
i was so ready to be done with this assignment, which is unfortunate because i hate forcing art. i'm not really sure where i'll go with these because they certainly don't feel finished. big pink on the left was something i started last October and i wanted to use it for this assignment to force myself to finish it. no luck there but i did enjoy getting some feedback from the class.
the snail on the right is mostly eye candy for me. the colors are so luscious yet it still lacks so much. i'm tempted to add some red roses.
the one in the middle was a suggestion by Lisa. i had commented on how people often suggest i leave the background as the finished piece. i never listened because it was never my intention, so i tried it this one time. in due time i will paint over this.
